Your guide will pick you up at "Nikola Tesla" Airport in Belgrade at agreed time.
After airport pick up the tour will start with a drive through New Belgrade. This part of the city was developed during Tito's era when the country was named Yugoslavia. Nowadays this is the largest municipality within Belgrade as well as the main business and residential area in the city.
Next, visit to Saint Sava Temple, the second largest orthodox church in Europe.
Afterwards we will continue our sightseeing panoramic drive all the way to the main city center. On your way to the Republic Square you will pass by Tasmajdan Park, National Assembly of Republic of Serbia, Old and New Palace, charming Terazije Square with beautiful hotel "Moskva."
On the Republic Square, the heart of the city, you will see National Theatre, National Museum and the monument dedicated to one of the greatest Serbian rulers, prince Mihailo Obrenovic. From here we will start our walking part of the tour through the main shopping and pedestrian street zone called Knez Mihailova Street which will take us all the way to Kalemegdan Park or Belgrade Fortress, number one attraction in the city. Here we will finally reach the rivers, and we are going to show you the best places that offer splendid view over the confluence, New Belgrade and Zemun.
Free time for lunch or shopping. Transfer back to the airport just on time for your flight. End of program.

This was an awesome tour of the beautiful city of Belgrade. I was on a 10 hour stop over and got to see most of the cities attractions on this tour, the Layover Tour. My guide Nina has a tremendous knowledge and love of her home city and of her profession too and that shows throughout the tour. Miroslav our driver was warm and friendly too and knows his cities streets very well. I got to see so many attractions of Belgrade that I would never have seen otherwise like Kalemegdan Park, Belgrade Fortress, the Church of Saint Sava, House of Flowers etc and to take some wonderful pictures too of spectacular scenery. I am so glad to have found Serbia Inspired Tours online and to have done my tour with them. I hope to go back to Serbia one day and see more as it is a beautiful country.

I participated in a layover tour during an extended layover from Belgrade airport. Correspondence prior to the tour was prompt. I was delightfully surprised that the advertised cost (85 Euros) was applicable, despite that I was a single traveler and was sent a private guide (Nina). Nina met me at the airport and we were driven by Miroslav. I was permitted to store my carry-on luggage within the van. The pace of the tour was dictated by me and I could elect to transit through the city center by walking or by van. Nina was a wealth of knowledge and did her best to connect Serbian culture with that of my country. After the planned tour concluded, I was allowed to sight-see on my own as I still had ample time before I needed to return to the airport. (I chose not to, as I was admittedly tired, and instead returned to the airport to relax.) During the tour, we visited several highlights in Belgrade, and I hope to return to the city for a more extended visit in the future..
