Tour starts at 7 a.m. from your accommodation in Belgrade. 2 hours and 30 minutes' drive from Belgrade, through central and west Serbia will take you to viewpoint Gate of Podrinje, that represents the entrance to the magical Drina River valley.
Short drive to Bajina Basta, small city in western Serbia, popular after the world famous attraction House on the Drina river. This unusual house was built for the first time in 1968. by local students. Nowadays it's world famous due to the fact that this is the only Serbian landmark posted on the cover of National Geographic Magazine. Coffee/tea break.
Drive towards Mokra Gora Railway Station (approx. 45 minutes), from where you will start Sargan 8 railroad ride. Authentic cars with wooden seats will take you back to 1925. when this railroad was connecting Belgrade with Adriatic Sea. On a 15 km long ride, train "Nostalgia" will pass through 22 tunnels, over 5 bridges and will overcome the altitude difference of 300m. Also it will stop at lookout platforms in order for the passengers to take memorable images of nature in west Serbia. The longest stop will be at Jatare Station, where you will climb the cliff to the observation platform offering splendid panoramic view over the surrounding mountains. After 2.5 hours ride you will return to the departing point.
Short drive to Drvengrad or "Wooden Town," ethno village developed by well-known movie director, Emir Kusturica, as a set for his movie entitled "Life is miracle." All the objects including hotel, shops, church, cinema, etc. are made of natural materials, mostly from wood.
Before we start our drive back to Belgrade, a break for lunch will be made and you will have the great opportunity to try local specialties of west Serbia.
Return to Belgrade after 8 p.m. Drop off to your accommodation. End of service.

Great day trip!

Must do in Serbia
The whole journey was very picturesque, particularly with the autumn colours and pleasant weather. The trip was well-paced and not too rushed. Bogdan the driver and Jelena and the host looked after the group as if we are their house guests, constantly checking if we are OK, accommodating our food and other preferences, offering helpful tips, sharing their knowledge of the area while at the same time curious to understand the culture and the history of the countries their guests came from. We have done many day trips across the world and this would surely count as one of the best.

Awesome Trip
We visited Belgrade last week and had an amazing experience with Serbia Inspired tours. We booked the whole package (4 days trip) with SIT including pick up and drop off to airport, and they made the whole trip fabulous and unforgettable. On the first day, we explored the Western part of Serbia - an incredible day with the gorgeous and knowledgeable Jelena and the smart & kind Bogdon. Jelena is a fantastic tour guide, shared lots of information about Serbian history and open to answer all our questions and Bogdon took us safely even to remote places of the country. We enjoyed the scenic route & learned a lot about Western Serbia during the trip and all the information were really interesting. Drina River House, Wooden Village and Sargan 8 Train ride was really amazing experience and the landscape of Tara Region was so beautiful. Both of them suggested us some local foods to try, which was amazing including the fresh raspberry juice. Dont miss to try the Honey and Plum Rakhiya. It was a long day trip but worth it. Overall the trip was very well organized by SIT and I highly recommend to try this trip.

Amazing Time!
Had excellent trip through the beautiful nature in Serbia taking trips to west, east and Novi Sad with Nina and Bogdad. The knowledge of locations, history and flexibility was excellent where Nina provided detailed overview with great friendliness. Cannot forget the support from Bogdad with his wits and Kuglof.
