The tour starts at 8:00 a.m. from your accommodation in Belgrade. A pleasant 2-hour drive will take you to the first stop, Golubac Fortress, located at the entrance of the Iron Gate Gorge where the Danube is at its widest and nature is at its greenest. This spectacular Fort was built at the beginning of the 14th century as a border stronghold of strategic importance. Hat Tower, formerly used as a pier of the Fortress, nowadays is the main symbol and trademark of Golubac Fort.
Next, Lepenski Vir - an archaeological site located 30 minutes' drive from Golubac. It represents one of the oldest urban settlements in the whole Europe, populated 8000 years ago.
Tour continues with a 45 minutes' scenic drive through the picturesque Iron Gate Gorge with short stops on the way for taking memorable pictures. Your speed boat tour will start from Tekija and will last for approximately one hour. While cruising along the most beautiful part of the Danube river, you will see the remains dating back to Romans, such as Trajan's Plaque (Tabula Traiana) - memorial dedicated to Roman Emperor Trajan. This unique monument can be seen only from water. Besides this, on your speedboat tour you will see Mrakonija Monastery, Balloon Stations: Pena and Varnica, Stone Statue of Decebal Rex, last king of Dacia, which represents the tallest rock sculpture (40m) in Europe.
When your boat adventure is finished we proceed to the city of Donji Milanovac, where a break for lunch will be made and you will have the great opportunity to try local specialties.
Return to Belgrade in early evening hours, drop off to your accommodation.

Organized, fun and full of love!
It was an amazing tour, both Jelena and Ranco are very nice, helpful, caring and truly felt like family all throughout the trip. The experience with the whole team is great, they are very protessional and they also communicated with us properly, and made sure the pick was on time (5 minutes earlier).

Amazing adventure with Milan and Jelena!
This was a definitely something my mom and I will remember forever. Jelena is one of the most positive souls I’ve met. She speaks her eloquent knowledge with the biggest smile. Her passion for Serbian history and culture is vibrant. Milan was an incredible driver, so warm, forward-thinking, sweet, and thoughtful. We felt safe in his care and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience. Not to be missed!!
My tour with Nina and Bogdan was truly unforgettable and I highly recommend it to anyone! Every detail was carefully planned and travel was totally seamless. From the morning pickup alone I knew I would be in great hands! We toured the Golubac Fortress and Djerdap National Park on one of the hottest days of the year and there was even cold water stocked in the back of the van at all times. Nina was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledge, kind, gracious and lively. Bogdan guided us carefully through to all of our destinations and made sure we arrived safely. I don't think that I would have been motivated or able to visit all of the sites we covered as a solo traveler, and my experience certainly would not have been the same. The only thing you'll regret is NOT taking this tour! Hvala svima na lepim uspomenama. Vidimo se sledeci put :)

The best Danube river tour
I highly recommended this tour. You’ll be driven through a country site, passing by small towns and villages. The fortress is one of the best to visit in Europe due to it's history and a majestic size. Definitely take the speedboat which will take you to the narrowest part of Danube, with more attractions on both sides of the river. The archaeological museum is worth visiting, you will watch a film picturing how the site was discovered and preserved. The path to the museum is an attraction itself, almost like a walk through a botanical garden. The highlight of the tour were the incredible staff of Inspired Tours, Nina and Bogdan!

Wonderful day trip!
Jelena was a wonderful guide! She was knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and kept us on schedule. Even with rainy weather in the morning, we were supplied with umbrellas. We were taken to a great local restaurant in the country. Driver made us feel safe. Water available through the day. Overall wonderful experience!

The most efficient experience outside of belgrade. this included car ride to the national park, speedboat on the river with views of romania, trip to a local restaurant and archeological center with views across serbia. the price is completely reasonable for the experience and the driver and tour guide were personable for the entirety of the trip 8am to 8pm. this is highly recommended.

This was our third day trip with Serbian Inspired yours and with Jelena and Bogdon. Another long day but again a wonderful day. Jelena was always engaged with us and tirelessly answered all our questions giving us the best experience. Deadly awesome scenery of the Danube and the Fortress and exciting museum of Lepenski Vir. Loved the speedboat tour, it was lovely to see both Serbia and Romania from either side of the boat. Special mention to Jelena and Bogdon. Blue Danube tour was amazing
The other couple on the tour had specifically requested Nina and Bogdan as our guides because their friends had told them to. I was lucky enough to be able to be on the same tour and I am so glad. Nina and Bogdan were comical, and so knowledgeable. This one among the best day trips I have every taken in all the countries I have visited. If you are looking for a full day trip, definitely this one should be on the top of your list.

Great sightseeing / full day tour
On October 23, 2019, we had a fantastic all-day trip from Belgrade to the eastern part of Serbia. We were a small group of 2 from South America and 2 from Norway where, among other things, we visited the "Golubac Fortress", a visit to a national park, an archaeological site and a great boat trip on the great river Danube. The trip was very well organized with hotel pick-up and car transport with modern air conditioning. The driver Sasha was a good and safe driver, while the English-speaking guide Jelena was both knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful, a fantastic guide who made the trip top. We highly recommend this trip to all tourists visiting Belgrade.

Une excursion merveilleuse pour montrer la vrai Serbie
Je suis venue en Serbie avec mon copain et mon meilleur ami, nous sommes Français. Je suis d'origine Serbe donc je connaissais déjà mon pays mais je voulais montrer une autre facette de la Serbie. L'excursion Blue Danube Tour a été parfaite pour ça. Tout d'abords, Jelena est une merveilleuse personne et guide (bas nam je bilo predivno sa tobom Jelena!!), qui parle très très bien anglais et qui explique bien l'histoire des monuments! Les lieux visités sont vraiment chouettes. Vraiment très bonne excursion, très bien organisée, le conducteur est merveilleux aussi. Je recommande!

très belle journée
magnifique forteresse de Golubac. Danube et porte de fer à couper le souffle. notre guide Nina et notre chauffeur Ilija nous ont arrêter à un restaurant qui surplombe le Danube et l on voyait de l autre côté la Roumanie. ( la petite suisse genevoise au point de vue situation géographique et paysage). On a pu également observer les couches géologiques les plus anciennes sur notre chemin de retour. belle croisière en bateau sur le danube et très agréable . nous étions 6 ce qui est formidable pour ne pas être bousculé. notre guide prend tout son temps pour tout nous expliquer. je recommande vivement.

Best way to explore Serbia with limited time.
My husband and I had just three days to visit Serbia. We booked the Danube tour and Novi Sad & Wine tour, getting these tours was the best decision for our trip. I agree with the other reviews about this agency: Nina our tour guide for both days was excellent, she knows a lot about history and local culture; also, she is an experienced traveler so that she is very aware of what could be interesting for tourists/visitors. Sasha is also an experienced driver and we felt safe with him in the steering wheel. Both made us feel their hospitality all the time; Nina gave us excellent recommendations of food to try (love the pastries she recommended) and the last day they dropped us at the airport. This has been one of the top experiences with tour agencies, I just have compliments for them. Thanks for helping us to have a great time in Serbia and for the lovely souvenirs.

Blue Danube Tour- excellent!
I booked the Blue Danube Tour a few days ago and it was excellent! I booked it a few weeks in advance and I immediately got a text on what’s app to confirm. I had a few questions before the tour and my texts were replied to almost immediately. It was very reassuring as I am from the US and appreciated having a direct contact. Our guide was Nina and driver was Sasha. Sasha was an excellent driver and we felt very safe and Nina was amazing! She is professional and knowledgeable and sweet as pie! She made this tour! She gave recommendations, fun facts and history all at once! I would 100% rebook with Serbia Inspired tours! The tour itself was also great with fun locations and a full day of countryside and attractions! Thank you!!

Perfect Danube River Tour
The trip was so good! From booking to confirming to picking up, every details are well communicated and quickly responded. The tour is actually well covered with many good tourist spots which will give us a whole picture of the Danube river from different perspectives including nature, civilization, religion, etc. Our guide Jelena was so nice! She was extremely professional and interesting. The atmosphere was so perfect. We all were like friends and chatted a lot. That really impressed me by a great degree! You could feel she was passionated but not just treat that as a job. Our driver was a good gentlemen with jokes and amazing driving skills. I must say that I will join the tour again if I have a chance to come back to Belgrade!
