Zlatibor Mt. & Uvac Canyon Tour

On this 2 days' tour from Belgrade, you will visit Zlatibor Mountain, one of the main ski resorts within Serbia. Stopica cave, Gostilje waterfall and old village Sirogojno are some of the main landmarks located in this awe-inspiring Serbian mountain that you are going to experience on this tour with one overnight in Zlatibor. On the second day you will proceed to Uvac Nature Reserve, one of Serbia's top secrets.

Day 1: Belgrade - Stopica cave - Sirogojno - Gostilje waterfall (overnight in Zlatibor)

The tour starts at 8 a.m. from your accommodation in Belgrade. After 3 hours' drive through awe-inspiring Western Serbia, our first stop is Stopica Cave, which represents one of the biggest caves in Serbia and one of the Western Serbia top attractions. Its main landmark is a 10m high underground waterfall. 

Continue with a visit to, old village Sirogojno, that represents the oldest ethnological open-air museum within the Balkans. 55 households from 19th century were moved in Sirogojno from nearby villages and those are 100% authentic.

Next visit Gostilje Waterfall. Located in true oasis of intact nature it represents one the biggest waterfalls within Serbia with a height of 20m.

Afterwards a break for lunch will be made and you will have the great opportunity to try traditional Zlatibor products such as: kajmak, prosciutto, goat or cow cheese, bunch wheat pie, dark bread, etc.

Hotel check in. Overnight.

Day 2: Uvac Nature Reserve - Belgrade

Breakfast. First day was reserved for the main attractions located on the slopes of Zlatibor Mount. while the second day will be completely dedicated to a real hidden gem of Serbia, Uvac Nature Reserve.

Short drive will take us to the place from which we will start our Uvac Canyon Tour. It will last between 4-5h and include cruising and hiking (comfortable shoes are more than recommended). First we sail through meanders for about 12km. The main symbols of the Reserve are Griffon Vultures, relatively rare species of bird of prey whose population in Uvac is the biggest one in Europe. Uvac Cave system is the biggest cave system in Serbia, comprised of two caves: Usacka (6km long) and Ledena or Ice Cave (2.5km long). The access to the Ice Cave is possible only by boat. We'll reach it and take a 700m stroll to check out the richness of cave jewelry.

Afterwards we will start our hiking part of the tour (45 minutes) in order to reach observation platform called "Veliki Vrh" that offers awe-inspiring view over Uvac meanders. Be prepared to take the most incredible photos from up here. We return to starting point by boat.

When our Uvac Canyon Tour is done, a break for lunch will be made in traditional restaurant.

Return to Belgrade in early evening hours.
